AEN NEW DELHI DECLARATION ON WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
2025 October 12 New Delhi, India

At the Global Wildlife Fair held in New Delhi, the Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN) officially announced the AEN New Delhi Declaration on Wildlife Conservation, marking a significant step toward strengthening ethical ecotourism across Asia and beyond.

The Declaration underscores the urgent need to accelerate authentic and responsible ecotourism practices that directly contribute to wildlife protection. Recognizing wildlife as an irreplaceable natural heritage essential to ecological balance, sustainable livelihoods, and community well-being, AEN called on governments, tourism operators, local communities, and travelers to act as responsible stewards of nature.

The six-point declaration commits to upholding wildlife ethics, reinvesting tourism revenues into habitat restoration and anti-poaching efforts, empowering local and Indigenous communities, expanding conservation education, reversing biodiversity loss through nature-positive actions, and integrating climate-responsible, low-impact tourism practices.

Through this landmark declaration, AEN reaffirmed its vision of positioning ecotourism as a genuine force for conservation, coexistence, and long-term ecological resilience.
